This was the single biggest reason for getting one. I driving east on 40 down the hill, into ABQ, one 4th of July evening and you could see ALL of the fireworks displays in that little valley; it was totally awesome. Unfortunately, I found out real quick and expensive that there is no consumer grade camera that can capture what the human eye can. The dash cams can still take some good footage.Moon_beam and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I thought about that lol. Need like a Hollywood set up. But I do so many two lanes, and passes, I think it will make some good footage to post, especially for the new comers that ask about hills, snow, etc.
Look here's hills, snow, chains, multiple maniacs. Lol. What? Back east looks more attractive now? Lol.fargonaz Thanks this. -
Well, this is the one my boss put in all our trucks, the picture quality is pretty nice:

Oh, and as far as a camera strapped to your head like Scottie... guilty as charged.
I made this one with a camera not much bigger than a Zippo lighter. Please excuse the editing...

I drive a Cab-Over so I am looking for a camera that I can mount by the sleeper curtain, that will catch the mirror's as well as the front windshield. Anyone have a set up like this?
Dave_in_AZ and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
Wow, no clue... hopefully someone will chime in... @scottied67 may have some suggestions; he's the dash cam master, LoL.
BUT... sure would like to see PIX of your CabOver~!!
(music for my mind~ love 'em!!)
Dave_in_AZ and SheepDog Thank this. -

Ive seen dashcams that have satellite cameras to mount on the mirrors. May wanna look into that. Would give you a much better record of whats going on there.
SheepDog and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
There's a guy at Landstar that has 6 cameras mounted in his Volvo, for basically 360 coverage. Controls it all with a laptop.
That's way over the top for me. I just want something to make videos, and an instruction book that's 1 or 2 pages.G13Tomcat Thanks this.
