I never said the flag was oppressive.

The flag is a beacon of hope to many, those outside & inside.

Heck it's on the freakin' moon.

That said, it still has fallen short.

You said the USA had "fallen short" for some. The US flag is a representation of the USA. I comprehend exactly what you said. Maybe you could stand a few lessons in comprehending and owning up to your own words.

 

Well, this thread went way off the tracks. Other than the sports being on a channel shown on a TV in a truckstop lounge, this topic has run it's course and should be moved to the Politic's forum.

 

Why is the first response of so many to say, if you don't like it, leave? This is still a pretty great country, I don't think anyone is saying otherwise.

I'd liken it to owning your dream car... but the ball joints are shot, the hood is dinged up and it doesn't have rear brakes. Are you going to throw the whole car out over that or are you going to try and fix it?

There's nothing political about this thread. This is a discussion about our society where is the "political" angle in this thread?

The blinders some like to wear is truly astounding. This thread is not political but it is full of enough with socialist or communist leanings that I'm done trying to reason with those who just look for excuses to hate and be mad.

One more win for the new-age American education system to create an answer to a problem that does not exist.
