Got my 2nd trip to Canada, and my 2nd in as many weeks. Going to the heart of Toronto this time, and then Barrie.

Funny thing, though: My customs paperwork took a long time to get ready. I got the load assignment at 10:30am, and I was ready to roll out of the yard at 11:00am. But the paperwork wasn't ready. So I piddled around until noon, at which point...it still wasn't ready, and they told me to just roll out and they'd fax it to me.

Three and a half hours later, I hit the TA at Breezewood, PA where they had finally faxed me the customs paperwork. Groovy. Let me wash the bugs off my windshield and we'll be on our way.

And now here I sit at the customs yard at Fort Erie because whoever did the paperwork didn't do it correctly.

 

It's pretty nerve wracking when you get told to roll out with only the paperwork to enter Canada and that the paperwork to reenter the US will be faxed to you later.

I didn't get it until my last stop in Canada.

 

Well its been a busy last couple weeks. Finished my north east regional duties, wife finished training, took a week of vacation, got assigned a truck, and now sitting in new mexico on our way to southern california. This trip we are on now has plenty of time on it which has been nice as we start to work on the realities of living in a bouncy closet. So far truck and wife are doing good.

@JohnBoy how many tire chains do i need to aquire. Looking around i can see either 6 or 8, depending on the state. I dont see any on this truck.

 

Congrats to her making it through training. Did you get one of the sparkly new Volvos that no one seems want and are you missing the NE yet?.

I hope your abandonment of the NE doesn't result in NYC runs for me!.

I have a bag-o-chains in my side box. No clue how many are in the bag mainly because I'm afraid of tempting fate by getting too close to it.
