I've run both a 10K and a Stryker with good results, unless you shoot skip you probably wouldn't believe how far I've talked with each....Mike

If I can keep my 5 ft Wilson Fiberglass antennas from failing they work great and talk ay farther then I actually need to. I have reached Colorado from central Manitoba Canada and I have also made contacts in Michigan with them not to mention being able to cover many counties in North Dakota with a barefoot Connex 4300 HP or a barefoot Cobra 29 stealth.

I liked my 4 ft estatics which worked pretty well for a cheap antenna. I have a question though do the Springs you can mount on them affect the antenna I have a set of 3 foot tunable firesticks on my 06 Mack Granite and i keep knocking the tips off and i have actually snapped a few antennas b/c its a 10 yard ready mix truck and i have to drive into alot of jobsites with very tight clearences.

how about the terminator 2 is it a very good antenna? i saw them at the piolot for $59 didnt know if they were any good or better than my k40

If I were to run the SW Dual Coil Predator would it be better to run dual ant or just single??

When the sun, moon and all the stars and planets are aligned....you can hear people from hundreds of miles away and can even communicate with them. It only happens every so often. I believe you need a sideband radio to shoot skip but I may be wrong.

I picked up some serious skip just around Christmas back in 2001. Had a CB in the car, and we drove from Florida up to Michigan and then to Wisconsin to visit family. We were talking to drivers across the country! That was on a stock CB.

Jesse James, I will be around Dallas on Wed night. I will be listening for you. I personally like the Wilson 2000. I had the same one on 3 different trucks over about a 10 year span. I lost it a few years ago when too much ice got built up on it and I guess it snapped the mount off and pulled the end of the coax off. I replaced it with a brand new one and its still doing a fine job.
