You worry about yourself and stick to the speed limit.Trucks pass you because I assume you drive for a starter or mega company and these morons see you as the slow driver and they don't have the patience to stay behind you thru a construction zone. But like I said you're doing the right thing don't let the driving morons get to you.

I think the reason MOST of them do it is because that is the only time and can feel like a super trucker.

I always do the speed limit in work zones and get passed all the time. if you don't like it go around I just don't care

Doubt you're clueless, probably quite the contrary but I asked seriously twice, no three times now.
It went over my head if what you said actually answered the question of why these fools speed.
Why would I bother posting the question?
Looking for answers to help it make better sense why I'm seeing this every day....since those who do the speeding obviously aren't gonna stop.

And see I believe its idiotic behavior like the speeding is why we get a multitude of more regulations which are overbearing and miss the mark.

I don't claim to know nothin' after 5 years but you can be rest assured when you pass me I'm gonna be alert, safely driving, and I knew you were coming up behind me from two miles behind (or longer at night when headlights are visible).

Phew, thought I was the only one who actually does the posted speed limit in construction zones.

I also run in the left lane when told to..

My only thoughts on the subject is...no one cares.

I've hardly ever seen work zone speeds enforced.

They speed because they are selfish and care about nothing but themselves. It's all about them. They only feel the slightest remorse when they are forced to pay for their actions. They aren't smart enough to look ahead.

Gotta watch some of those zones in Chicago area. I actually go above the work speed limit cause if u actually slow to 45 you're gonna cause a wreck from all those running up on you at 60 plus. So I do 55 . Also most say if flashing anyway. So it's not always an active speed limit
