FBN's Lou Dobbs on California passing a bill declaring it a 'sanctuary state.'
A few thoughts now on a state government out of control, intent on defying the Trump administration as it ignores its own citizens.
California's democratically dominated Senate and Assembly have passed a bill declaring California to be a sanctuary state; Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown says he'll sign it into law.
The bill bars police from asking about a person's immigration status and prohibits law enforcement from notifying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when certain criminal illegal immigrants are released from jail.
But that's not the only step California lawmakers have taken to defy the Trump administration.
Lawmakers allocating $30 million to help dreamers stay in this country and attend college. And $45 million for illegal immigrants to hire attorneys to fight deportation.

The legislature also passed a measure calling on Congress to censure President Trump over his Charlottesville response, as well as bills protecting climate data from federal censorship and blocking presidential candidates from appearing on the ballot in 2020 unless they release five years of tax returns.
And the movement for the state to secede from the union is making a third run at secession, which has failed twice this year.
California is simply a mess, and not getting any better at all.

I hope they are successful in their efforts to secede from the union, then we can build a fence between them and the real United States.

What's sad is the voters have no say. How many crap bills has the public managed to get a referendum vote on, vote it down, then the government (high court) simply ignores the vote and the will of the people? But that's government at all levels any more. Voters are becoming less and less relevant every year. Government is going to do what government wants to do. Period.

But what's weird is the way they vote on referendums never seems to reconcile with how they vote for political seats in Sacramento. They vote for wild leftists, then get mad when the wild leftists do what wild leftists do.

You probably read the article yesterday about this West Point graduate. Fits in pretty well with the California article.
FORT DRUM, N.Y. (AP) — U.S. military officials are investigating a recent West Point graduate who posted photos of himself at his graduation with pro-communist messages under his uniform, including a red Che Guevara T-shirt.
The 10th Mountain Division said Tuesday that Army officials at Fort Drum in northern New York are aware of 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone's alleged actions and are "looking into the matter."

One of the wife's friends is getting ready to retire(or so she thought). May have to sell everything and go back to the Philipphines ?

California is in good financial shape compared to Illinois. US taxpayers (future generations of fewer workers) are doomed to have to bail out both of these states sooner rather than later, and it'll be money down a rat hole that we'll never see payed back, not even a nickel.

I dunno...I think the rest of the country is getting tired of rogue states pulling this nonsense and expecting the rest of us to cover their insane social experiments. The tide is turning, slowly but surely, and normal Americans are fed up.

You do know California is a doner state don't you? In 2015 (latest numbers I could find) for every dollar sent to D.C. they only got 0.78 back.
It kina sucks for their citizens sure, but it's a heck of a lot easer to change state goverment.....
