I was based in the Perrysburg yard, went to the Chicago, Cleveland, and Detroit yards. The Chicago and Perrysburg yards were the worst I saw. Ditto on the teams being the worst of the bad

Linde. Driver facing cameras. Fired a 21 yr veter for reaching for his phone.
foggy Thanks this. -
I know a guy who drives for a camera company and got written up for taking his seatbelt off while backing into a dock.
I don't know about anyone else, but unless I'm doing a straight line back, I look out the drivers side window, and I can't do that safely with the seat belt choking my neck.mathematrucker, Ethen1987, MACK E-6 and 3 others Thank this. -
I got a message from safety saying I have to have my seat belt on. Even if I'm at a truck stop.
foggy Thanks this. -
I'm not sure how these carriers justify it as I'm new to this industry but what if you have some corrupt smokey sitting up on an overpass. As you drive under he watches you then as soon as you're 1,000 yards down the highway you see his lights. He pulls you over & says "you didn't have your bright orange seat belt on & you were texting." But you did have your seatbelt on & you were not texting cause your phone is back on the bunk. This has indeed happened in N.M. Having the inward facing camera just saved you from a $1,500 ticket. IDK here but am just proposing a C.Y.A. response, not looking to upset anyone.
