Nice. Heartland just bought my company. That's where I seen the blue Gordon ones suddenly sprinkled around the terminals. Thought they might be switching out their blues for our greens. That Cummins is a nice engine though. Pulls harder than the DD I got now.

Nah. I mean I keep it looking nice, but I'm all about function first. There's a reason why Gordon was so HUGELY successful. This truck has it all. Trailer brake, APU, bunk heater, inverter, it squeezes fuel, it's quiet, and it rides nice. Cascadia with an ISX, not too terribly hard to get parts for. Good mechanics are a whole 'nother ballgame. I have the guy I trust doing an oil pan gasket Saturday. He's going to just PM it while he's at it. The cost of having this done here, me buying the oil, and paying cheap for parts, his labor is very reasonable, is probably in the neighborhood of $400 less, maybe even more, than having it done on the road, and then hoping it's done right. It's pretty strait forward, but we've all experienced the guy that can't even tie his shoes.
It's a good truck so far. Only a madman would give up a truck that isn't a hassle, and makes money. Keep them moving parts clean lol.csmith1281, 1951 ford, Cybercat and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well I have found a secure spot for my truck when I'm at home.
It's about 1-1/2 mile from the house, so very walkable.
Smallish, about 100 trucks, trucking company. $100 month. I also have another job if I want lol.csmith1281, fargonaz, dngrous_dime and 2 others Thank this. -
Holy F. Trailer tire blowout I'm Flagstaff. Been on hold for 35 minutes and counting. Have yet to reach a human.
Orange713, fargonaz and whoopNride Thank this. -
I hope you reach someone soon. Let us know how long it takes please. I am cleared corporate and on my way back to in way as a rehire. This time I will be using their trailer for awhile.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
1 hour and 1 minute after dialing, I have work order set up, tire dude inbound. When will he arrive......that's another whole story.
The moral of the story is.......never break the trailer during the day on the weekends.
I've had a flat I found on post trip once late at night, got right through to LS, but it took dude like 5 hours to show up.
If you just call somebody yourself, LS will make you eat it.
I've been looking at that tire too. It's got paint on it, and just doesn't look like a LS piece of gear. Looks like sidewall let go, on the inside, I can see a 'U' shaped blowout like right in the middle of it. POS. -
Well an hour later no contact from tire dude. They wouldn't give me tire dudes number, so now I'm back on hold at after hours.
Orange713 Thanks this. -
Now 2 hours and 50 minutes into my flat I get a call from some girl in Ft Smith Arkansas. This after calling LS back 2 hours into the flat tire.
LS told them, or so they say, I needed a drive tire.
So after blowing my top they are bringing a trailer tire from Winslow.
The girl in Ft. Smith was going to have someone come from Williams ( 3 hours ).
Cruel, but not unusual.
I've told a lot of people I thought the gene pool would be deeper here, but it's the same as everywhere else.CorsairFanboy, csmith1281, fargonaz and 2 others Thank this. -
That's the type of thing that makes me wonder if I wouldn't be better off making less at a smaller company.
