Long wb in the Us

    Are you guys in the states allowed to pull 53's with any wb longer then 244'? In ontario your not allowed to touch a 53 foot unless your 244 or under

    There is no length restriction in the U.S. on National Network Highways. These are Interstates (like the 401, 405 etc.), U.S. highways (like Crown highways), and designated state highways (like Michigan route 125)

    THe MTO & Transport Canada do require the permit for 53's with the overall length restriction.

    From a retired federal DOT officer (equal to Transport Canada only with more enforcement powers)

    Only if the tractor WB exceeds 6.2 m (244").

    so if the driver had an overlength permit say for hauling 60foot material on a 48 that permit could be used to haul a 300wb truck with a 53 footer?

    Lostnfound is correct for Canada however this has no relative bearing on your original question regarding rules in the U.S.
