Just to put a fine point on this for new hires, you don't get 21 days starting out and 6% for 401k is an industry standard. You do get a 10% discount on gm merchandise and some food products. They do match stock purchases up to a point but the IRS(our favorite gov bureaucracy) is wanting to declare this as income so don't be surprised if that gets taxed

 

Drozzer, Grabber...what you guys think about the big announcements this week?

 

Instead of raises, you get an end of the year bonus...to be determined by transportation officers...same ones that brought you this cut in pay, cameras, etc....

 

My money is on "..it's still a good job"..anyone else?

 

Are you getting into the Marcy, or Johnstown location? I start orientation at Marcy on the 16th.

No they didn’t. I got the final job offer on the 29th. From what I have read on these threads, maybe I just made it before the changes. And honestly even with the changes it’s still an amazing job with all the benefits they offer.

 

your final offer is when they call you after a conditional offer correct? how long did they take to call you after the pre-trip, road test, physical, drug test and conditional offer?
