    550, question:

Friends got a 379 with a c15 cat 550hp, 370 rears, and 10spd. Where should he be running at? He tells me he get 5.9 yet something tells me he could get better. I mentioned to him about the pittsburgh power pack and he says he doesnt want the power. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice run. what were you pyro temps? Be very carefull of running on the dyno with fan off, the intake temp with skyrocket very fast and can sieze rings. What cam do you have in it right now? I have heard the 1000 hp cam will loose 40 hp over the 800 hp cam in c15 due to the 1000 hp is for a c16. Too much cam I guess. I run the 1000 hp cam shaft in our race truck but its a c16. We have had it on the dyno but the dyno will only pull 1000 wheel hp and it would not handle any more.

550, you're probably right, a sleeper tractor pulling a gravel train could be a problem. Plus you don't want to be going into gravel pits with that nice looking road truck anyways.

One question, what trans are you running? In the past, I have seen a bunch of ex- MC Van Kampen trucks for sale, and they ALL had fuller 10 spds in them.

I have a C16 cam in it, when i bought it off from this one guy he told me it was the 800hp cam but i checked it out and it came back as a C16 600hp cam when i got it. So you say i should sell the 1000 and pick up the 800hp cam then? Thats interesting about the hp loss probably to much lift for the motor. The first run he did was with the fan off, he shut it down and i went and flipped the fan on, was thinking about the intake temps getting to #### hot. The pyro stayed under 1200*F, around 1150* for the most part.

Do you think i cold get any more out of the ecm? 127FLS 0FTS 6999 trim codes early model 7CZ 600hp program. I also sent a few guys your way.

Mine was a wrecked truck that they bought and put back together, its not a new truck that they ordered. It has a 18 speed.
