Are you trying to run the Truck GPS app?
Have you tried plugging it directly into the Tablet and not the Slice?

with the factory plug? or are you using a usb plug? if using usb plug it has to be a 2 amp plug
-
Started new thread above this one. Was doing it with factory plug. Switched to my android car charger. Fixed it for a few weeks now same issue

How about we toss this over to the support thread?

I'm trying to get my RM TND tablet to turn on
It won't all it does is blink the charging battery at me.... before you call me an idiot here's what I've tried
The reset button several times
The power button and the volume + to do a factory reset, the reboot, ect.
Nothing is working
Any Idea's what needs to be done?
Right now if you said shoot it I probably would I've had it almost a year and it's been giving me issue's for the last 6 month's but until now I've been able to get it to work again -
Have you tried using a different charging cable? Those cables don't last. How anyone gets a year out of one cable is beyond me. I"m lucky to get a month. the unit may say it's charging but it's really not. The battery just might be dead in the unit.
I have issues like yours all the time. Phone or tablet. Usually a new cable does the trick. You don't need to stick with the stock charger. Any charger and cable will work. Just make sure you get a charger that puts out at least 2 amps. Those 1 amp chargers are more like trickle chargers and will take your unit forever to charge up with the screen lit. Most of them will say right on the charger. But the numbers are small. If there isn't a number. It's more then likely only 1 amp. -
Did it actually do the Factory Reset? If so, we need to do more. Factory Reset takes certain Apps to the Factory OS Flash. If you have updated Maps then the Truck GPS App if it is not current will not see the new maps. This is for the 80 tablet and not the 80b.
What is the serial number on the back of the unit?
Are you plugged into the Slice or the Tablet?
Cables will last many years. And Yes you need to watch what DC Cord you need. Not any cord will work.
How are you powering the Tablet? The Rand DC Cord, a 3rd party Cord, or a bullet USB Charger.
Thanks,

If cables last many years. Why is there so much bulk inventory being sold on any given block in the country??????
That would seem like such a waste of money sitting around in inventory. If cables lasted years.
I know a ton of phones and tablet owners. Screwing around with connections to get a charge. After 2 months. And they keep screwing around. With all them cables sitting in their faces at the gas station. -
This thread is not about how cables are misused nor why inventory is such. The poster asked about his RM Tablet and I need to narrow down the issue. It could be a cable, but I find the tablet cables not to be the main source of the issue.
