I talked to pottles a month or two ago and they have a training program available. Call and ask to talk to someone who handles the hiring. I don't even have my cdl yet but have talked to several companies around central Maine that claim they require x years of experience, but can force it for the right person, or have a training program that they don't advertise.
Bayside transportation, pottles, h.o Bouchard.... call and TALK to as many companies around as possible. Worst case you look good for calling and had a chance to talk with someone from a local co. Pretty low risk if you ask me...
Local or regional?

$6.6k? WTF I thought Prime's $4k was a bit much.. Honestly, though I'd wait to see if they try to collect. These trucking companies get Govt grant money for every student..

Why don't you look at some of the stuff @Chinatown suggested earlier on? Some may have 'refresher' courses... or not. Worth calling, if you want IN bad enough, man!

W.t rand
W.t rand is hiring for flatbed, northeast transportation is hiring, pfg, dean foods, jp noonan, savage, mbi, Richard carrier, cassela waste, fed ex ground, ups, brown dog carriers, black horse, a. Duie Pyle, east branch delivery service, bisson, Martin brower, Anderson trucking, lily corp, Sysco, Ryder, several excavation companies in southern Maine, and the companies I mentioned earlier along with every oil/propane delivery company in the state. Are you calling all these companies? Everyone one of them is hiring. I guess I'm confused as to why you seem so fixed on a. No jobs available, and b. The big boys. Regardless of if they say one year experience or not, if you want it, you'd be calling.
