Okay, should have used probably in there.
However considering what almost every new IC has posted here, and what I hear in when at the GB terminal, it's usually 1,100 a week.
Schneider National---Seriously Considering Van Driving then possibly a lease purchase.

I've always heard between 1100 and 1300 (rounding up). Though depending on the specific truck and the specific LEASE agreement I could see potentially higher rates.......maybe.

My current financial responsibility (with a lease that started in January, 2015) is about $1030 per week...truck payment, registration, insurance) on my 15 Cascadia. Obviously a bit higher now with a new truck. I'd say $1100 is a good figure to use if you're putting pen to paper.
SingingWolf Thanks this. -
Not after insurance.

Wow.... so, like 57,ooo/year to basically rent a truck. Is that a good deal? Im a new guy and that just doesn't seem like you can make any money with that over your head. Is there something that im missing here?

In my own case (and I know I'm in the minority here), it's not all about the bucks. After 20 years of trucking, I'm about 18 months from being debt-free at age 57 1/2. Wife has a good job with good benes, and I'm on her plan. Our house is paid for, and we have a rental house we break even on.
But for me, it's about taking time off when and where I want to. I live in SC, and my family is in SoCal. Frankly, another ten grand a year wouldn't make a lot of difference for me. And quite honestly, I'm tired of chasing miles for the sake of making 75k a year. I refuse to pull ultra-cheap loads unless needed to get me to a specific locale. And local is not an option for me. I'm not beholden to any dispatcher, only my financial obligations. I escrow money each week for down time and taxes. So for me, it does exactly what I need it to do.JOHNQPUBLIC, exracer941, TennMan and 3 others Thank this. -
