Finding parts for this ole boy isn't easy but, has been ok. Have to do some searching and wait a couple days for parts sometimes but, haven't run into a problem actually finding parts, so far. Right now I need an exhaust turbo pipe, air filter and alternator. I have found the pipe and filter but may have to wait a couple business days to get them. The alternator I will be taking off today and than hopefully tomorrow I can get a replacement tomorrow at Freightliner....

I just like old iron. Very dependable, has a lil character, and no emissions lolOLDSKOOLERnWV, Dave_in_AZ and SheepDog Thank this.

Not to mention, if your able, you can work on old iron yourself. Very easy to fix and get back on the road and easy to diagnose the problem. Not so cheap though and parts can be difficult to find sometimes, or at least get in a hurry.

Considering it's almost a 4 year old post...... I doubt he'll mindSheepDog Thanks this.

Yeah I can get a crate BC Cummins in Raleigh for about 10k. Do the work in my backyard. 10k won't even touch a modern inframe
