The original problem was egr stuck open. It was replaced then this problem with the shuddering, black smoke puffs as it shudders. Also get a code for high egr temp. Had it to the shop and on DDDL, was told egr works fine leak in cache, replaced. Still same problem. Then checked turbo the accuater was leaking air replaced the whole turbo and still same problem. Delta p checks out , new vpod. Turbo boost sensor. Checked all grounds and harness for broken and damaged wires used a test ecm and it checked out. I am at a loss. Also checked for compression getting passed injectors and no spike in pressure on the return line. Any ideas would be of great help.

If it's starving for fuel that could cause sputtering and black smoke.

I have checked fuel pressure out of pump and is good. Is going in to dealership this week. Will post what the fix is so others don't have to drain the bank to fix.

Did they figure out the problem? I was thinking about changing out the turbo boost sensor but I'm unsure if that will fix my problem, no black smoke just sputters when I step on it hard.
