My preference is snaps for steel and fall off parts and ratchets for equipment loads.
Whomever said snaps were unsafe is an idiot...or someone who broke his nose or knocked out a few teeth popping one open. Oh wait, that's redundant. Takes an idiot to do that.FerrissWheel, Zeviander, nightgunner and 1 other person Thank this. -
Nah, just takes a momentary brain fart. They are perfectly safe when used correctly. Get I a hurry tho and well... It hurts. A lot.OLDSKOOLERnWV, FerrissWheel, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

So true, and the exact reason I tell myself every time the snaps come out, "Slow down, dummy. You're ugly enough already."OLDSKOOLERnWV, FerrissWheel, tony97905 and 1 other person Thank this.

You learn not to smile as often.OLDSKOOLERnWV, tony97905 and Broke Down 69 Thank this.

And there are also snap binders that have a threaded side like a ratchet binder so that you can adjust it to a finer level.
After we are done debating snaps vs ratchets, could we go over to a gun forum and discuss 9mm vs .40?Lepton1 and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
.45 first, last and always. Debate over...lol.Lepton1, 1johnb, nightgunner and 1 other person Thank this.
