I saw something similar yesterday. Or I should say, I heard it. There was a truck to my left and a little behind me. Traffic came to a sudden standstill on 294 around Chicago, and I heard his tandems hit. It was surprisingly loud. I thought for a minute that an accident had occurred.

 

Hey y'all. Hope you guys are doing well. Tonight I'm back in Henrietta NY. When I posted last, I was sitting at the Richfield terminal. So, I got my truck serviced, and the speed turned up (WOOHOO!). Opie ended up having me hook to the load I dropped and take it to its final. I got a reload at the same place heading to New York. It's a lovely run, 1100 miles. He also pre-planned me on a Budweiser load going from NY to SC that delivers on Monday. That's a killer weekend. Nothin but smiles over here There are a lot of trucks here compared to normal, but I'm guessing that's because it's the weekend. It's a good place for local guys to park, and the rent is cheap. Two days at my local TA would get me 5 nights here. Screw you, TA. Because of all the vacant trucks, I'm betting that my sleep will be very restful. Aside from some really long construction zones on the Ohio turnpike, today was awesome. I had some rain to deal with in the morning, but for the most part the weather was gorgeous. I'm a little over 4 hours from my final with nothing in my way but a quick fuel stop on Weedsport. I have a little cushion, which will afford me some extra sleep. Gotta take it when you can get it. I'm glad I didn't catch him. I don't think I'd enjoy prison much.
