Me too. Stopping to eat out cuts away an hour of the day and is usually an unhealthy decision.

 

You nailed it. Hard to beat smoked chicken, or ribs, pulled apart for sandwiches. I try to get a walk in every morning and night. I use my kuerig to make hot water for my oatmeal in the a.m. Always have been a "keep the left door closed" type of guy. Saves a lot of money too. Sure is a benefit of sleeping at a Wal-Mart every night.

 

Them lunch box ovens work great cooking chicken and vegetables just plug in the cig lighter drive another hr stop and your food is done.

 

Please tell me the names of these freight haulers who are home each day making $100,000 per year.

 

You must be new to the industry to act like this is some myth that needs to be proven.

Every city is different. Of course some states like Illinois, New York , Ca, & Pa may have more Freight companies that have 100k potential but the cost of living is higher. The Companies I mentioned are the only ones I know of as far as Texas.

 

I forgot to mention UPS Freight Local & Linehaul.

 

I worked freight for 22 years yes you can make that kind of money after you have been there awhile. ABF 3 years before you get 1 weeks vacation and full scale. And if your on the bottom your first to sit home. Ups package you start around $17 hr and it takes 5 years to get to full scale around $37hr. If your line haul your working weekends and holidays. Oh and ABF is in central states pension that will be broke has of 2024. Sounds great doesn’t it.

 

Walmart doesn't offer any pension last time I checked.
