UPS package tops out in 4 years but after 3 you will be around the same hourly rate as most LTLs. Mileage rate tops out at 3 years. Runs that are 500 miles or more pay by mile. But at 3 years you will never see a mileage run. All the senior guys pick up mileage runs because they pay the most. Not all hubs/centers have mileage runs.
And UPS package aka feeder drivers don't work weekends unless it is extra work at time and a half, which would be Saturday only.
Only time feeder drivers work Sundays is during "peak season". And again it would be extra work that you sign up for at double time pay rate.
Now that I cleared that up. There are a few LTLs that you can make $100k.
They all have very similar pay rates. And usually offer decent benefits.
I heard Ashley furniture pays well also. Including some tanker companies.foggy Thanks this. -
They don't make that in Az.

When you say just left, Do you mean like literally this past week? What I'm trying to gather is if he quit due to the meetings or the camera pilot program, loss of FLW etc. Thank You

In the near future cameras will become a federal law for all CMV

3 months ago, he was reading the writing on the wall back then. When all this "big changes" coming talk started heating up

Here's my opinion on Cameras.... Not that anyone asked
. Many Companies already have Cams, but they aren't like Walmart. Walmart won't write you up for reaching for your phone when it records. They will can your ###.. No questions asked. 13 drivers who raised their hand and volunteered for the "pilot cam program " hav gotten fired over the camera. They discussed that in the recent fall training. It was over the camera and their phone, many were on their phone at a red light . Wheres the write up , a stern lecture. Nope , pack your stuff and hit the road Jack.Walmart is much more strict than most companies. The cameras will be a great tool for them to fire you. To all the fellars that will say ... " but, but, ChevelleRednReady!?! If you're doing your job safely those cameras don't change anything?"" Remember that when they bring you in for a serious talk over that camera.
foggy Thanks this. -
I hate that saying, "if you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about." I overheard a safety manager say that at a cookout to another driver, talking about cameras. I asked him if he's allowed to show up to work drink, I said obviously you're not. Well let's put a camera in your living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and garage, just to make sure you don't drink alcohol, (then used his term) if you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. Left him speechless. Didn't really have an answer for that.
