If you are going to correct me by all means please explain it further. By the end of your first year you will have had the ability to use 21 days to use as you wish, paid at the average daily rate of your income. While 6% may be standard for some it isn't for many, as many companies out there push their drivers to become contractors with promises of more money. So as a contractor, i dont of any company doing 401k matching. As far as the matching for stock up to a certain amount, i dont know of any other either, so that is some welcome information for some, regardless of the irs comment you made, because as a company driver the irs will always be getting your money, unless you do nefarious things to minimize it. Bottom line, what i said is true, with no false or misleading information.

I take it for what its worth. We will know the real numbers as far as how many trucks will be slotted for full time, program and flex. For those senior drivers it'll be an adjustment. For new guys, it really wont affect us much as many new guys will still be getting paid more than their previous job.
I mean the biggest thing is slip seating each week or every few days for flex. No biggie for me. The trucks are always clean and if they aren't i make sure that management knows because it shows who needs to be reminded of how to clean a truck.
Me, i dont care how it ends up. I'm up far enough from the bottom to make it past flex, I'm far enough down to not care about full time or set runs. I'm also well versed to know its not my name on the truck and it will never be. Those who make threats of leaving are just chickens. Why wait, door is right there, enabling me to move a few slots up securing my position even more. Sounds mean, crude and not caring, we are all grown. You'll get over it.WallyWife and Ironhead2542 Thank this. -
Never said Walmart had a pension and I’m glad they don’t.ABF drivers have one through the teamsters and it’s worthless.

Thanks for CLEARING THAT UP. Now we all can run over to ups and Ashley and get a job I guess they have room for all of us.

Or you can try the many LTL companies out there.
Old Dominion, Estes, UPS freight, R&L Saia(if you don't mind forward facing cameras and no phone or CB policy), FedEx freight, ABF etc.
Do your research.
Look into tanker companies too. Some pay very well.
Look into Airgas, Air Liquide, Air Products, and other cryo/gas companies.
There are a lot of options out there.foggy Thanks this. -

The WMT Driver Morale is dog crap right now. Not sure of other DC's . Only the newer drivers are seeing the bright side. Senior guys know they're being pushed gently to exit door. At the end of the day, WMT is just a job. Walmart isn't invincible, they're vulnerable like any other company. It was never the BEST JOB, but it was a good job. You earned your money. 14 Hour days every day but your go home day if you wanted to hit the 100K mark. Being told you can't go home and you have to "extend" whenever they felt like it. I got on with WMT for the Dinero, no doubt. I tried getting on with UPS , UPS FREIGHT & OLD DOMINION BUT struck out . Seems like you had to know someone to get on with them. Resubmitted APPS again . See what happens.

Good luck to you guys! Hopefully it works out.
I wouldn't jump ship unless I knew for sure of what's going on.
You don't want to quit and start over just to find out new hires are on a pay progression and eventually make the "top rate like the rest of you guys.
