I think if there was a honest by god bad guy breaching your porch and front door coming in to make a mess of your home, you will be boosted by fight or flight chemicals dumped into your blood right quick. Things will get pretty hot and intense in a hurry I would imagine. You can stomp and kick him for wrecking a good nights sleep with wife in warm bed later.

When it comes to home defense you have to worry about penetration. I want to drop the intruder, not my daughter on the other side of the wall. nothing would be worse than a round penetrating through the target and striking a family member behind him.

    Amen.

Double check your children's windows to be sure it's not have a tree near it and also, if you have dormers up there or similar with a 90 degree connection from that Kids room windows to any other part of the house via rooftop... a bad guy could get up there on roof and then swing into kids room.

I am not trying to insult your intelligence in any way at all. Bad guys are very cunning and crafty, I have to think like them and question like them as if I was the bad guy wanting in.

I agree, the first coil i had, i put 10 binders and three straps. the customer laughed and all i said was i got it there safe. I was a City Cop for 24 years and a traffic homicide investigator (Palatka Police Florida) and i seen what damage occurred when something fell off a truck or trailer. That has always been my biggest fear. and no, we didnt mess with ther truckers because they were hard workers, usually ate near or next to us at the only Diner, (Clock Resturant) and sometimes they would back you up or assist you on the side of the road. Much respect for people who drives and to the ole timers too.

Stone blocks, steel girders, that kind of stuff, you'll only really need snap binders because there's no give there and adjustments after the initial securement is pretty rare, but if you're doing vehicles in particular, you'll definitely want ratchets as the tires and suspension will compress significantly and continue to do so over bumps, so you'll need to bring it in more than just the short throw of a snap.
