Thanks. I also understand that these forums are a small percentage of those working as an otr driver for walmart....it's difficult for many I would assume to leave a good driving job...but WM was known for its premier pay , etc.

I hope you're not one of the Drivers that falls under the Flex or Part Time program next year. Being that you're fairly new. You may be seeing things differently then.

I’ve run the new pay scale compared to what I’ve made the last 2 pay periods (4weeks). It would’ve been about $3300 gross for 2 weeks. Still about 80k a year and 25 paid days off in first year. That’s assuming same work schedule as I worked and that may or may not be the case, no one knows at this point.

They did not say discontinue all future raises just this year. They have done this before from what I have been told. Do all other companies start new employees out at the higher rate or is it normal to have a progression. ABF.xpo, yrc ups frieght and package. All have a progression wage. I’m sure there are others. I look at these changes as trying to be more efficient which I’m sure not everyone is going to like. But that is the way of any industry or you will be left behind.

Who knows if these changes will even take place. All gtms we where summoned to a meeting in Atlanta this week on very short notice.

These changes will effect every DC differently. Our DC only has 1 5/5 and 1 3/2 so that's 5 drivers. A DC that has a lot of these programs being eliminated will be effected the most. And our equipment is utilized very well. We hardly ever have more then a few trucks sitting

No, you can work your 5/2 5/3 and just extend on your 3 day off week and then it would be 5/2 6/2. And when you extend you mt your truck in your car and use a daycab if available for your 6th day.

We have no Daycabs. In Sanger Tx I heard they're doing away with all Daycabs. They're going to auction. You'd also have to be allowed to work an extra day by a Manager, at least at my Dc.
