Talk to your dm before you come down here. No one seems to know why but there's no loads. I'm 49 hours past my PTA which is a first ever for Laredo.

They gave me an MT move from pueblo co to jerpa valley CA I will take that.

Oh ffs.

So I was just getting into San Antonio when I get the message that my load has been rescheduled for delivery on the 13th instead of the 12th, and of course I don't even get that message until I leave Taco Palenque in Cotulla. Now I'm wondering what this "gift from the company" is that my DM wants me to see him for tomorrow.

might want to drink alot of water. Lol. You might have been the lucky one for a random.

Its a nice stainless steel insulated mug they were giving out during driver appreciation week. The Laredo DMs saved them until their drivers could get back to the terminal. Laredo rocks!

Did Swift get enough for all the drivers, or was this a Laredo thing?
Personally, I did not see one thing happening for 'driver appreciation week' in my travels.
Not even some food at the terminals I went through.Last edited: Oct 13, 2017

North Platte, NE at the Love's.
I have so much time on this load that I'll be getting in a 34 hour reset. This seems like as good a place as any.
Then I have 3 'very' long days that have to average 470 miles to get set up on Tuesday for a Wednesday morning delivery. I'm planning to shut down at my fuel stop in Harrisburg, PA on Tuesday. It is about 100 miles from Bethlehem, PA where I have a 0900 live unload.
I guess I'd better reserve a spot.
But I like this load.
One load for the week that is 2200 miles. A decent average week without any hassle, and I can get my full 70 back in the process. -
They were handing them out in Richmond when I was there and they had a nice amount of food. Its the first time in a few years I've been at a terminal during driver depreciation.
FrankMoosetek13 Thanks this. -
It seems like a few places do it all, and most none at all.
I guess just the fact of 'driver appreciation week' should make us actually feel special in some way.
Drivers are the Zathras in the trucking world.
