He is a good sport? Like when he's told the truth and got mad? No, he's simply looking for a shoulder to cry on, and we really don't care. Just one less druggie in the field.
And SAP is Substance Abuse Program. It's a government thing to go through to be able to return to a safety sensitive working position like a truck driver.
The Unbelievable?

Face palm. I can't believe I had to ask the question. Say good night Gracie.

Substance Abuse Program. And add my MRO to the list of folks who have never heard of this test, which I researched enough to know that it is called a "gas chromatography" urine test. My company had never heard of it either, but I'm sure one difference was "a bigger bill."

THC builds up in fat cells under heavy use. If you start losing weight it releases THC into the system, creating detectable levels.
You aren't a liar, but you didn't realize that your drug use wasn't going to come back and bite you in the ### later. -
Ummmm... Because he’s a truck driver?PAtruckerlife Thanks this.

I came to ask this as well... overweight guys have a lot harder time passing mainly bc thc is stored in the fat....if someone started losing weight it could have loosened up the thc from the fat cells then into the urine....I mean really though, be thankful they didn't do a hair follicle test....but yeah on the other hand for thc to come up that much later on a test means you smoked a LOT of weed for it to be built up in your fat cells for that long.... maybe look for another career dude.

Am I missing something here?
I thought that all of the DOT.mandated testing was a standard urine test (the regular inexpensive test that all employers use for pre-employment and random). If that test comes out positive then the split specimen is sent on for further testing via the gc/ms testing.
Are you saying that you came up positive on just the regular test? Isn't it possible that somehow it's a false positive? I thought that was the purpose of the GC/MS testing, to find out whether it was a false positive or a positive positive.
My question though, is why would you not initially assume that it was a false positive then just have the GC/MS test done? You apparently assumed that it was accurate. There are times that false positives do happen for whatever reason.
Also, as bizarre as it sounds, I do think there are some Labs that make a mistake. I would think that's pretty rare, but sometimes people just don't do their job. Did they split the sample and you signed your initials on each?
You should have that test done, talk to the mro, and talk to your doctor. Maybe you ate something or took something or you're on some type of medication or maybe your medical condition itself could cause this.
