@SAR Why are the corn stalks so light in color? Where I grew up and also where I now live the stalks are dull and dirty looking.

It probably has something to do with the variety and hybrid maturity. We have to grow shorter day corn up here because of our short growing season.

I wonder what a paper mill would need with that?

That would depend on the chemical. I used to deliver caustic soda (lye), bleach and chlorine tp paper mills occasionally. I have long since forgotten what they all did in the process.

Well we are moving around. Gotta take the Merritt to the washout, lookin like a storms a brewin here. That's all I need is a storm. Long earred crazy eyed heifers with a hump on their back are hard enough to load in calm weather.

I just landed in Alberta in my pickup to stay permanently... Currently unemployed though so I don't know where I'm going to end up yet.

Yeah, I have 0 demerit points and 2.5 years pulling B-trains after all. I was lining something up with a company and they decided to change their mind about me having enough experience but not tell me they changed their mind. They "usually" require 5 years of class 1 experience.

Oh well. That would have been pulling tanks, I'm leaning back towards pulling a deck again but I'm open to anything.
