So they are one of the few.

Got a pplan this afternoon that I simply did not like.
Head to a Walmart DC in PA so I can help with store loads.
My response was 'no'.
"No thanks, I would rather stay OTR.'
I have done both Walmart and Target and hated them both. -
I do the same thing to most like that, I will occasionally accept a dc near my home area.
-
It was the first time I turned one down and I wasn't sure what the reaction would be. But there wasn't any, just a new pplan this afternoon.
Good to know that I can simply say no. -
Where in PA are you? I deliver NY tomorrow, then pick up in Lock Have and head to SC.
-
I'm at the TA in Harrisburg.
I deliver tomorrow morning in Bethlehem, then picking up a load to NC. -
Looks like I'll be running a couple hundred mile behind you.
Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Montgomery, NY at the TA.
Well, the best laid plans of mice and men - sometimes just don't work out.
An accident near the border of NY and CT on I-84 put me about 45 minutes behind schedule. I wasn't late to the delivery because it was a drop with a window, but it does make me late for my next load.
I only had 1:10 on my 14 when I did my empty call so I needed a place to stop.
But there was nothing in range except 1 rest area, and that is if I went in the other direction to my next pick up. There was nothing on my fuel route for nearly 2 hours.
I headed for the rest area but it was already full, with trucks parked all the way out to the highway.
My only other good option was this TA, and getting here put me 12 minutes over on my 14.
Luckily I had reserved a spot, because the place was packed at 2003 when I got here.
I'm picking up in NY about 105 miles from here, then headed to Nashville, TN. -
I was on I-90 in NY today with a truck coming on, so I moved to the left lane. I passed him, but he kept his speed lower so I could get in front.
The few cars that were behind me simply stayed there in the left lane, pacing the truck that just came on. And he was right on my bumper.
I figured it was just that one lead car.
After about a mile of this I pulled back in to the left lane and slowed down a bit to let the other truck pass me on the right, then I moved in behind him.
He waved his thanks as he went by.
The mentality of some 4-wheelies amazes me.FerrissWheel Thanks this.
