Check these guys out.
The local Claas dealer is a friend of mine. He was telling me the harvesters who run choppers make more money than the harvesters who run combines.

Yeah I think you might be on to something. It seems like with all those wires running like you say there would likely be some voltage drops or more chances of a loose connection to happen. I'll have to take a look at one of my trucks and see how they route wires.
Are there any grounds from the frame going anywhere?Oxbow, cke, Crusader66 and 4 others Thank this. -
Choppers cost more and have a shorter season.

Have U considered a Pocket Door 51?Oxbow, SAR, Crusader66 and 1 other person Thank this.

Isn't it , the longer the cable the higher the voltage drop? Maybe that's what they were trying to avoid!?
But I agree on the more chances for loose connections.Oxbow, SAR, Crusader66 and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah from the starter to the frame, it was a strap and completely green and frayed so I replaced it too with a big 0 gauge welding cable.
Those wires I took off looked factory so I'm kind of thinking this is factory routing but I'm also thinking there's a better way. -
Amazing, to me anyway. I never knew. That's crazy how much corn one of those combines can take down at one time. And the attachments for pulling the trucks out in the field is really cool too.

Well then I'll keep mine away for sure, lol.
