For corn silage, bunkers and bags ideally 65-70%moisture. Upright silos about 60%. Haylage about 55%

Got it, didn't know there was such a thing. If I see it out in a field it's a combine or a tractor, now I can add chopper to my vocabulary, lol.

The other day after the apple picking we passed a corn farm: I figured we should stop n grab some. My lady said "no that's pig corn"
Anybody care to explain that to a fella that don't know about corn?
I know about Indian corn, and corn on the cob, corn bread, corn pudding, creamed corn....

Also forgot to add, it avoids having too many connections at the battery

He was telling me they need 2 heads to be as versatile as possible. A pickup head and a row head. After he told me the out the door price (new equipment), almost $600,000 per machine, I understood.
