If you do get auto- can you request a standard when your 90 days are up? Hubs is the driver- I'm his navigator and he prefers old school.

More then likely no. The old trucks get retired and replaced and all the new ones are autos.

Okay- last question (for tonight) are all the trucks super singles? That's the big deal breaker- we don't want that.

Well shoot. We had decided to go with them- now we need to discuss it more. But I'm glad we know before we head to OK. I still think we are gonna go with jct- it just sounds like the right company for us.

It's a great place and I was treated well. Honestly most drivers that drive the autos after a couple months they never want to go back to stick. As for the super singles I loved them. They held the road well even in ice.

Yeah, hubs has driven auto before- prefers standard, but it sounds like he's willing to choose the company over the truck right now. Considering his previous employers include prime and jb- I'm sure you can understand why.

I do get that. IMHO JCT is a great company. I only left for some issues at home and I needed a couple months off the road.

He came off the road after three years when we got serious two years ago. I couldn't leave my mom alone (she was a recent widow) and I wasn't loving the long distance. She passed away a year ago and we finally sold her house and are in the process of wrapping that up, so I have nothing holding me here except a job I don't love (scheduling of all things) but I do love seeing the world. So, two more months and we are taking off. He is used to running three months on, one week off- I'm good with that as long as we try to plan at least one restart a month near a family member- since I have them all over cali, Texas, Utah, Arkansas, and a few other states- shouldn't be too hard.
