You have to have a Concealed Carry that which Illinois will recognize. The problem for me in Arkansas is that Illinois was dragged kicking and screaming into the SCOTUS to with hard feelings accept that limited FOID etc.

The other thing is the Rest Area is a state property. If it was here in Arkansas, that falls under State Highways which is a prohibited area for possession of a gun. Theoratically I could be prosecuted for entering a state highways land or property even with my CHL.

The ammunition is interesting.

If you don't have a FOID card in Illinois and have Ammo.. then that's a charge...

Additionally the employer probably fired him for cause with having a weapon aboard a truck against company policy.

The trucker was a true dummkoft shooting like that. It's good he got removed from the society for a while.
