Here's a list of possible issues. Your display the tail of that is the thermostat, it could possibly be in the path or air flow so it's "hitting temperature." It could be your evaporator freezing up and going through a defrost. Or possibly your compressor is kicking out on a pressure issue. Is your condenser fan running on the back of your cab?

Also did they put a new drier filter on when they changed your compressor. It could possibly be clogged ( does it feel really cold to the touch when you run across)

Have a 2017 truck with Comfort pro apu and its been working fine up until last night.. for some reason the control panel shuts off every time the unit is about to start up. The screen stays blano for an hour maybe longer and when it finally comes on, same issue. Any help?

Sounds like maybe your control panel CAT5 cable might be loose. Could be at the panel could be that the wire is pinched or loose at the evaporator box. Could be the 4 pin connection from your Apu into your evaporator box. I've seen the pins in the end connector be loose and not make good contact.
