No i didnt, i doubt id push any more boost though. Im able to build 51psi at 1400rpm, cant say what it would do with the stocker as ive never tried it.
I have seen guys run the stock manifolds with a set up like mine and couldnt keep the EGTs down, even if i were down some power id say its worth it to keep the engine cooler. I never built more than 1050-1100*F on the road pulling compared to what they were able to get it do on the dyno. I think 830 said he was building 1300*F easy and he was running a factory manifold, i know of another guy who ran the same set up as mine and could not stay under full power more than 10 seconds without lifting off to keep it from going past 1200*, he actually blew that motor. After he rebuilt it, put a ported 3406B manifold on and never looked back, he can stay in a long hard pull without it getting over 1100*, also has 700k on this engine now. It works for me, people are free to do what they want though.

hey 550
Your drop in exhaust temperature may be due to you removing the sleeves when you installed the manifold. Your cylinder head will be absorbing the heat before the turbo. The sleeves prevent heat loss to the head. Just a thought. -
Well i ran with the sleeves for 20k miles and the B manifold, i see maybe a 50*F temp difference in heat now with the sleeves out. I got paranoied and pulled them out after i heard of them coming apart do to heat and going through the turbo. Everyone that had this happen was running a PP box though so maybe i made a mistake doing it, i did notice the turbo is more sluggish on the lower end now.
DDS have you had any guys run the stock clutches with 800+hp? Just curious as how they are lasting. -
w900b I have a 6nz 70 pin ecm that I will sell. I'm in B.C. and not sure how we would do the transaction though. I would be looking for about 1/2 of the price of that new one.

The clutches are ok so far, I have a lipe clutch in the race truck with a loaded plate, works unbelivable. That lipe moded can stall our engine, estimated at 1400 hp. A stock lipe did not work, a lipe with a 5000 plate did not hold, the last one to the max pressure works great and is not that much harder to push.
550hpW900L Thanks this. -
where abouts are you in b.c. sleepless?? and what is the hp/torque program on the ecm now?
-
I will try to PM you W900b

What is a bridge motor?
-
550 is right I was pulling 1300-1400*F as the stock turbo was on its way out and guess what,It got a full rebuild after that due to cracked liners and head.
With the bigger turbo and injector change you could still get the EGTs up to 1200*F at 50psi but running at 35-40psi you could control the at 900-1100*F I dont think a manifold change would help in our conditions where you stay under 100% load for up to 20 min at 110K pounds you are better to control boost at your foot to keep EGTs down.
Anyway it has been returned back to stock for a dyno on Wednesday morning to try and sort out the high EGTs. -
Its still running hot Shaun? ####!
A bridge motor is 2003-2004 C-15 that had some emission equipment on it, still a single turbo CAT, but had a tad higher compression and some other small stuff. Nothing like the ACERT though.
