He either wanted to Cool Off or saw me as a Food Source or the Food
After sliding into the Lagoon he paused and then casually swam on over and stopped by the Bank, seems he was looking for a Handout.

This is a Indication that the Gator has been fed by People previously which sometimes is considered "Aggressive " Behavior and leads to the Gator being Relocated or Worse!

Don't Feed the Gators!!
