Westbound Cross Bronx ten years ago, midday you could get stuck in traffic about one to two days a week. Now it is all day every day and night with no relief in sight.

 

Come get you a few loads out of 6068 then see if that list meanes anything

 

I used to deliver Windows in a 53' reefer to the Seattle area and bay area. They were brutal. L.A. was bad, but really mostly rush hour stuff. Dallas/Ft. Worth same thing, Houston was a nightmare. Chicago needs no reason to suck. BUT GO HOME DAY IN IOWA DURING HARVEST SEASON ON A 2 LANE WITH FARM EQUIPMENT ALL THE WAY HOME IS VERY CRAZY. of course there's already a beer at the end of that rainbow. Like right now. Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest! Now that's a cheer I'd roll on the floor for.

 

Yup. Sanger 6068 to Any store in Ft worth at 4:30 pm on a Friday. Or Leaving Dallas Pallet Yard on Harry Hines back to Sanger at 5:00 pm . Fock my life .

 

In chicago I'll average 6 mph. Takes 30 min to go 3 miles.
It'll take 40 min to go from kedzie to cicero ave. On I-55

 

When I used to deliver in Detroit area the people in in the stores said how bad rush hour was. I went through it and thought "this is nothing" everyone thinks there area is the worst, until you get somewhere that is worse. As bad as Chicago is I would never want to be in La or NY traffic

 

Walmart has no problem misleading us so he can and should look at every opportunity!

 

Been 80 miles out of route they do ask. I say there was an accident had to use a different route, ok they say. Still got there 1400 delivered on time!!
