How far are you moving it?

 

One time, or quite a few times? If just once or twice a year, that little Cat should handle it, I would think. And I would see about just renting a trailer, if it is not going to be a regular thing.

 

I am guessing that you only have the dozer because you don't own a trailer now?
If so, and you don't plan in the near future to purchase any other equipment did you consider a tag trailer?
EZ 2 Load "BWS" makes a nice 25 ton tag trailer that air tilts and has air ramps, its such a good and safe design that Talbert copied it but sells for much more.
I owned a fixed neck Hyster 30 ton with rear ramps years ago and when its wet or icy "i know Georgia doesn't get ice" it can get tricky loading over the tires and up those short ramps.
A detachable should work with a single axle as long as the frame is long enough behind the fifth wheel for a non ground bearing type.
You didn't mention new or used, if used make sure its 8'6" wide, and if your not sure of a manufacturer or model look on Truck Paper, it will help if someone in this thread directs you to a certain brand or type of trailer.

You can haul it with a single axle truck and even a single axle trailer if you wish. I'd personally look for one of those old Phelan type trailers, single drop with dove tail and ramps. They can be had cheap and more than enough trailer to move a 24K dozer every now and then.

 

So, I am guessing again but you are probably going for a tractor with a detachable?
If so and you have time hawk the internet, look for a tractor that is true pre emissions, 2003 and under that is in good clean condition with low miles, they are out there but it takes time to find one because of the demand.
Lowboy brands are many, i would only refer you the options, air ride and non ground bearing should be a priority.
