I was thinking the same thing about the parking.
Running team with my husband we split day and night. Luckily I get early morning until the afternoon. I usually start between 2 to 4 am. It's so nice without all the traffic. I know some say the drunks are out then, but I see plenty of crappy drivers during the daytime.

It's stupid........but the thing I hate most about paper is drawing a straight line. I even have one of those rulers with the lines and everything. I end up taking an hour fixing my logs so they can be read.

I am on elogs, but have had to use paper occasionally.

Use to be these were tools of the trade, drivers had the ability to find their way to a location a 1000 miles away, just by looking at some curvey lines drawn on paper. But not anymore. Drivers had the ability or at least most had the ability to think for themselves, not anymore. Instead they are slowly becoming dependent on electronic devices to tell them their every move.

Ever walk into a modern machine shop?
No more using your head and thinking, just punch in some codes on the lathe IMG_3925.JPG and walk away.
Just like modern truck drivers, punch a few buttons and set back, no more thinking. Some can't put a cob handle on a file now, I can only imagine 20 yrs down the road! Y'all be safe out there, your life may depend on it.

I should add too..... can't really blame new drivers, they're working with the tools big $$$ wants them to have.

You should get a new atlas, some rules have changed and there are some new roads too,
But you probably are aware of all that through social media.

Yes it's an old one I keep in the house to look at routes for motorcycle riding. I have a 2017 in my truck and I use it. :) Wife bought me a GPS, I have found my atlas shows more roads than the GPS knows. Could that be why so many get lost, or stuck up in a holler?

Social media is a learning curve for me, I find it to be complicated at times, but I'm learning.

You would probably learn to use social media quicker if you used it constantly , even driving down the road , like I see newer drivers do everyday

I can't wait to get me one of those big headset things I see all these drivers wearing now. So then I can also be a dispatcher too??

I could never find my way 1000 miles away using curvy lines. I always had to call for directions once i arrived in to town. Using a PAYPHONE.
