Kind of had the same thing myself this morning. Active shooter training and Suicide prevention. Normally I roll my eyes at some of our mind numbing training and only go because I have to but today I actually learned something I hadn't heard before a thousand times. The instructor asked if anyone had heard of the Blue Whale, I thought he was talking about the one in Catoosa, Ok along Route 66, I use to swim there as a kid. That shows you how out of touch I am, it wasn't even close to what he was talking about.
If any of you guys have kids or grand kids who are active on social media you might want to check into something called the "Blue Whale Challenge", scary stuff. There are varying opinions on whether this even exists but why take the chance, just keep an eye out for anything going on in the 50 steps in the link. According to the instructor there have been almost 200 kids affected by this. We have a 12 year old son and sometimes it's like trying to hold back a team of Stagecoach horses keeping him off some of the social media. It's sick what some people do to get a kid to do certain things. Hope this helps prevent harm to any loved ones.

I managed to find someone's block of firewood way out in the middle of a bean field today. Made it into the auger and jammed it. Slip clutch didn't slip. The shaft on back of the head that drives everything was the weak point.
Farmerized it to finish the day but she ain't pretty.
100 acres to go and fix it right next summer...... -
Makes a person want to shove one under their chin and press the button. Some people get hot shot happy as soon as they lay their hand on one. I carried one in the trailer with me, but mainly used it as a prod. Rarely did I need to push the button.
An old man told me once, "They can feel a fly land on them. Any pressure you apply is more than enough to get their attention." I was 12 when he told me that, and it has stuck with me ever since. -
Wow!!!! I'll pass this on to my wife. She works with some of the special needs kids who would, unfortunately, be prime targets for these ########.Oxbow, cke, 4mer trucker and 4 others Thank this.

Late dinner. On my way to Kansas... I swear it briefly snowed on me today in Kentucky. Gonna be that time of the year where I question my sanity for doing open deck real soon...

We have settled on a design for the ironwork on our post and beam project. I'm going to make "T" straps and then cut a bear silhouette in the center of it. I made a doorbell cover many years ago that is a bear silhouette as well. It is larger than what these will be. It should show up fairly well with the white oak behind it. I'm also leaning strongly towards hammering the edges like I did the beam light brackets a while back. Several square head lag bolts should finish it off nicely.
