Long overdue update: On July 7th (Friday) I came home sick. Saturday July 8th I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. Monday July 10 the doctor was unable to extract it (put in a stint). Out of work two weeks, when the doctor was finally able to extract the stone... the most miserable two weeks in my life... or so I thought. The Saturday following the stone removal I had trouble breathing. So much so, that I thought this was it (the Big One). My daughter rushed me to the ER where I was diagnosed with having blood clots in my lungs. The official diagnosis was Deep Vein Thrombrosis (DVT). My career at Titan ended before it even began...

Sorry for your misfortune.
I've been taking a 81mg. aspirin daily for probably 30 years. This keeps the blood thin and may help prevent problems like that.Last edited: Oct 27, 2017
Metallica88, augiedoggie41 and DRAGON64 Thank this. -
I finally came off of the oxygen I had to carry with me every where I went, but I am still on blood thinners!!!
Word to the wise, keeping that "left door closed" may help you make money, but you still need to stop and walk... to keep the blood flowing.
I will not know if this will go on a permanent record that could keep me from renewing my CDL, until I get another CT scan to determine if the clots have dissolved...
When you search "blood clots in the lungs" google images is about 75% autopsy photos... be safe drivers, and good luck in your travels.
I would still recommend Titan Transfer to anyone interested, they were pretty sweet to work for... -
What's the general consensus. I know keeping the left door closed makes money but also see the health problems my uncle has from it

Sorry to hear that things worked out this way, I always looked forward to your updates and was rooting for you throughout. Best wishes for continued improvement to your health.

I feel your pain, I have had four stones in the last week. Been dealing with them since I started driving in the mid 80's. Did you have a string tied to the stent? That is the worst!
Well maybe not quite as bad as blood clots in the lungs.
The road will always be there, get yourself well.DRAGON64 Thanks this. -
I think you should consider yourself on a new life. You gained a new birthday when they fixed it.DRAGON64 Thanks this. -
Thanks all, it was quite a wake-up call for sure. Definitely not what I want to experience ever again.
