Thanks Ron,
That is what I am looking for. A company that will take care of me and treat me right as long as I do the same for them. I think I will give them a try. If you have any more info on them like areas run, home time, miles per week let me know.
The only thng I am kind of unsure about really is the miles. On their site it says solos average 2000-3000 miles per week. I like to run more then that. I like to average 3000- 3900 per week.
I drive local right now and just want to be sure they can get me the miles before I quit my current job and go with them. I make decient money right now (about 690 per week after tax) and am home everyday, only working at night Mon-Fri. So I just want to make sure I can do better then that if I go back OTR. I like to run when I am out on the road and also get home for time off since I am married and have a 2 month old baby at the house.
Thanks Again,
Scott

I load at alot of the same produce sheds as the Heath boys do. I have yet to meet a Heath driver who didn't seem happy. Most of them seem to be older, white haired gentlemen(that may say something for them). I really can't give you much more than that. I have talked to a bunch of them guys, but never about pay, miles, etc. I am an owner/op and am not looking for a job, so those things weren't important to me.

Thanks Eskimo,
Well it looks like I will be going with them. I just put in my app and I will give them a call in a few hours to make sure they got it, then I will ask the recuriter the questions I have on miles, etc. Thanks again for your response. Aftier I get on I will keep everyone updated.

oh well I am not going with heath except for a last resort. They told me I would have to team indefinately until they feel I can handle a reefer trailer even though I have 3 years reefer experience.

If you make 690.00 a week after taxes and home every weekend and every day and have a 2 month old baby I wouldn't be looking to go OTR. You won't make enough extra to cover the added road expenses such as food unless you become a trainer somewhere. The miles are in the pooper right now for most companies.
