After I get the OK from the FMCSA I plan on going to Napier if they'll have me. I live in KY and called the schools here but all of them only have 150 hr. courses and thats not acceptable for me, I want at least 160 or more and Napier does that. Looking forward to going there soon I hope. Good luck to you guys and your future endevors and hope to seeya out on the road soon. Stay safe out there and keep it outta the ditches!!!

Sorry for the late response but it just came up, I live about 40 miles north of Lexington outside of Cythiana, KY! I have about a 15 day wait ahead of me till I hear from the Fmcsa to know if I'm cleared or not. I'm hoping to go to Napier or Great lakes Driving school, one or the other

    SHOJim and Chinatown Thank this.

I'm also looking to run all opendeck and expect to start at the bottom. There's no way a company would let a guy start running anything else but skateboards for a while unless there is previous experience before!!!

You won't have any problems finding a good flatbed job. Transport National in Ohio hires new cdl grads, but there's plenty more. Also try Jordan Carriers.

    Requirements
    • Must be at least 23 years of age
    • One year of verifiable and current over the road experience in 5 or more states is preferred
    • Valid Class A CDL
    • Good work history
    • Note - one year experience "preferred", doesn't say "required." They do hire new cdl grads on a case by case basis. Submit an online application.

Try this one also: Senn Freight Lines

Start a list of flatbed companies now, then when school starts, submit several applications during the first day or week of school.
