I like that run, did something like that with US Express, ran from Lincoln NE to Columbus OH, then back to Lincoln again.

 

Yeah, I was a local guy running trailers from the plant to the yard. I tell ya that truck could pull, and it was the only one that Monson had that was wide open, I had it up to 75 and still had plenty of room to go. It was an old truck from Western Distributing out of Denver CO.

 

Yeah that truck spoiled me, I managed to get 4.85 out of it before I had to leave.

 

Yeah, and getting around trucks on the hills, was pretty easy. It will be gone soon, Monson is getting some new Petes in, those will have 550 CATs and 60 Series Detroits, backed up with 13 speeds. All the 379's will be gone by spring of next year from what I hear.

 

Yeah I had just got her when I took the pic, she looked even nicer once we visited the Blue Beacon.

 

Thanks, mom has her good days and bad. They have to go in and repair one of her heart valves, and she is starting to show signs of Dementia. So we have a caregiver to help her around the house.
