I like the systems that can add air to my tires on the move.
When you pick up a nail or valve leak, think inside tire,, you don't find yourself with a tire you need to replace. -
Umm, you'll still have to replace/repair it. It's a job.
-
Correct.
I will, but I won't need to hire a road service truck to do it.
And I have a better chance of repairing versus replacing.fargonaz Thanks this. -
i run cat eyes, i like them, one trailer i have a automatic inflation system, that runs off the truck air that is really the best thing sense sliced bread. but about 1200 per axle to retrofit.
-
One bad point to consider..when you lose pressure in a tire, the whole system will lose air, disabling your truck..just learned this valuable lesson..I could have made it back to the truck stop without the system..any thoughts?
I'm currently on the side of the road with multiple tires without air.. -
I'm running the crossfire units, and picked up a nail in one of my drive tires. It kept the unaffected tire inflated. It worked as advertised. What happened to your tires?
-
Most systems have a method or valve to shut off or isolate.
-
agreed my auto infation system has a shut off valve. and even if it did't you could find the airline feeding the system and pinch it off with a pair of vice grips although any properly installed system will have a shut off valve.
-
Air only flows one way(to the tire)check valves prevent other way. Something is wrong with your system.
