Have you worked in the teamsters before? You seem pretty confident in their superiority.
"Double their income"... based on what? "Insecure abt [sic] unions?" Hardly.
"Can't meet their application requirements?" How are theirs any more stringent than any other company out there (let's leave out the fly-by-nighters)?

Lol come drive for them here. See if you get your pension. You might not even get your paycheck.

Look up what happened to LME here in minneapolis.

I tried a Teamsters company one time and it wasn't any better than a non-union company. In many way it was worse. If you make a nickle more on a paycheck than a guy senior to you, they file a grievance and want the company to give them an extra nickle. After that, the driver doesn't trust you and thinks you're a traitor and out to get him and that you must be kissing up to management. The pay sure wasn't any better; that's a myth that it is. UPS is the only place I know of where the pay is better.
That place where I worked had to give the union $175.00 per week, per driver plus we had to pay dues.

The company had a bulletin board in the drivers room and by the rules had to post each weeks dispatch on there. This way the drivers could see who was dispatched where, etc. Sometimes I'd add a run with my ball point pen and make it better than the other runs that were posted. Then I'd use black magic marker and mark out the space that would normally have the drivers name so that it looked like management was trying to hide something. The terminal manager was getting flooded with calls demanding to know who got that gravy run. Then the drivers would accuse him of lying because they saw the dispatch sheet with their own eyes.

So you're saying the company paid $175.00 per employee just to have them work there? OR did the company pay $175.00 for health/welfare per employee?

I do feel “insecure” abt teamsters, myself. So I settle for paltry wages. I let the Man get rich off the backs of the working poor while I complain blah blah blah :)

    RedRover and JReding Thank this.
