They're mostly company drivers, I don't think that thought enters their head.

I thought about doing that. I retired 17 years ago. Then I walked in to a junk yard. Seen what cars look like now. SCREW THAT IDEA.

Bought a new Chevrolet last month. I won't even be fixing my own car anymore. Way too many sensors and electronics. Come next year when Volvo kills off the gasoline engine. Others to soon follow. What's left to repair!

Utah killed the safety inspection program and the emissions program is every other year. There's no living left doing inspections either.

    I shoulda been a lawyer.

I explained, IN DETAIL, my reasons for converting, it's all there. My CSA was above average then just as it is now.

Those are the easiest to fix..lol

I charge $60 diagnostics (takes 5 mins, usually) and $80 to swap a cam sensor (usually 15 mins). With critical thinking, it's soooo much easier. I farm out wrench-turning to real grease-hands, pay them $10/hr.

I'll take sensors versus carburetors any day.

FYI...Lawyers have the highest suicide rates compared to any other profession. Also, median income for lawyers is actually $35K ($17/hr). Oh and did you know that there are templates out there that will replace lawyers?

I'll take carbs. Don't need to invest money for diagnostic equipment and software.

Linux runs on quite a bit of hardware. Wouldn't be that hard to make it quack like a duck. I'll bet the Russians will be the first to do it. :D
