Yes you will drag the pile just a bit. Depends on how heavy the product is as to how far I have to drag. I’ve never pulled a framed but I like my frameless. The trailer I pull has been turned over and repaired and still goes up good and straight. They are trying out armorlites now but I still have this old trailer.

I would never want to go back to a frame trailer after a frameless, so much easier to watch what is going on and they are lighter, not to mention in a worse case a frameless will usually snap the arms and leave the truck up right

I don't drag the pile.Once the load slides I let the trailer walk to the tractor as long as the ground is acceptable.

I just wouldn’t recommend for a newbie to be trying it. I have done it but my trailer likes to walk a little side to side unless the situation is perfect.

Every situation, load and trailer are different. I tell everyone to do what ever they are comfortable with and don't worry about what anyone else thinks or says.

Don't hesitate, put it all the way up or all the way down, if your going into a landfill a little release agent sprayed on the floor and a small piece of plastic in the nose will help a lot, always kick the rear tires when you hang your flaps

Same product. Different trailers. On the left is a 24ft frameless. On the right is a 26ft frame trailer. 26ft frame sure makes stockpiling nicer. Any pointers on how not to drag out pile on frameless?

When stockpiling back up the the pile, then roll forward like 5 feet. Otherwise, if you’re too close, as your tailgate opens up it’ll stab the pile and as the trailer raises it’ll snap aforementioned tailgate off. Trust me. I started end dumping 3 months ago and it didn’t take me long to figure that out. Followed by, “ohh yea rookie we forgot to tell ya...” lesson learned. And as @abyliks said commit to all the way up or down. I suck my trailer toward me when the load starts sliding as well, but if doing so before you dump check in front of the tires to make sure you’re not gonna walk it over a huge rock or into a pothole. Think of a pencil with a heavy eraser. It’s easy to wobble back and forth. Same principle with 24+ ton up in the air starting to sway.
