Hey there, Truckerland citizens. Tonight I'm roosting in Sturtevant WI. I finished out my load at Iron Ridge this morning, and to my complete surprise I didn't end up with a John Deere load. I was sent to Menomonee Falls to grab a Quad Graphics load that delivers to Cleveland tomorrow afternoon. I'm extremely surprised that this load doesn't require a TWIC card. I'm delivering to a USPS facility at Cleveland Hopkins airport. You'd think that a TWIC card would be necessary for that, apparently not. Technically I had a 2 hour buffer when I parked, but I have a little over 8 hours to drive to get to my final. I'm gonna have to take a 30, and I have to account for the unknown. So, unfortunately, I have to be behind the wheel as soon as my 10 is over. I'm going to be about 40 minutes from home when I get to the final, and most of my day will be chewed up. I'm hoping that I can swing home for the night and see Mrs. Junkie. I've learned to never get my hopes up, but the conditions will certainly be favorable. So, here's hopin'. I don't have much else to report, and I need to head to bed. Sorry for the short post, I don't have much time to work with. Be safe out there, everyone. Keep the rubber side down, and check your pins. Until tomorrow, peace.

Well, you can definitely tell this is a government-run facility. My appointment time was over an hour ago, and I'm still not docked. There is almost zero room here, and lots of traffic, so it's almost impossible to move. It's crazy what a madhouse this little area is. I just pulled off a backing maneuver that I'm quite proud of, and that was just to get out of the way. Getting to an actual dock is gonna be rough, at best.

Just now got a dock. They're gonna run me out of time. Drivers who got here after me are unloaded and gone. FML.

Well, I might as well just do an update, since I'm still sitting here untouched. Wassup Truckerland. I'm currently in Cleveland Ohio. And not at all happy. I had a 2pm appointment, it's now 6:15pm. I am still not unloaded. Mail trucks keep coming and going, and THOSE trucks are getting unloaded. But mine? Nope. I have 8 minutes left on my 14. As far as I can tell, there is nowhere to park here for the rest of my 10, which started almost 5 hours ago. This is ridiculous. Opie arranged a couple loads that would allow me to get home tonight, but that opportunity is long gone now. I'm not even in the worst position here. There are other drivers in my exact situation, and one of them has been here since noon. Remind me again why we have appointment times? At least next time I'll be mentally prepared for this, if there is a next time. If I can't stay here somewhere, I'm going to have to try the closest travel plaza on the turnpike and hope for a spot. And then hope I don't get a random inspection, because I'll be in violation at that point. I'm sure there are worse days in trucking, but this one is pretty bad. Hope y'all are doing better than me tonight. Sorry for the attitude. Be safe out, and all that. Talk at ya later.
