If I'm thanked by an older person, say above 30, I'll say thank you, however if a young person thanks me I usually tell them to thank the ones who come home in a box or didn't come home the same in which they left. In my opinion, those are the ones who should be thanked, or remembered
Hey...pssst... That one guy is here!

Balad, aka Anaconda had the nickname "Mortaritaville". Ran bulk fuel up there out of Cedar II. Hated to hear the alarm.91B20H8 Thanks this.

Little redfaced here, hell getting old
Horizontal construction engineers use bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy equipment to move tons of earth and material to complete construction projects for the Army. -
I did it the other way around. I ran down to Scania from Anaconda with the Fuel Pirates. Sometimes we'd get back and gave to sit in the dark, outside the wire, waiting for other inbound convoys to clear the ECP. Sometimes the CRAMs would go off, pointed toward our direction. You knew that they were trying to motor the fuel convoy.91B20H8 Thanks this.

How’s this one grab you....
Guy I used to work with years ago claimed he was a Seal. Now whenever you hand a sidearm or weapon over, your supposed to clear it right? If it’s a sidearm you also hand it over butt first, correct?
Well he didn’t clear it, first off then tried to hand me barrel first. I figured this made him a phony and blowhard.
Since I haven’t served, am I right? Or was I taught wrong?Grubby Thanks this. -

Those people always think we believe them. I remember one time I was in a truckers lounge and this fat #### was rambling on about all the confirmed kills he had during his time as a seal while shoveling candy bars into his fat mouth. I’m not one to keep my mouth shut so I started laughing at him. He told me that I was lucky he was a Christian now or I’d be another one of his “prizes” which made me laugh even harder. I’m pretty sure I was already back to my truck before he could get his ### up out of that chair.Streetroddreams, Grubby and dunchues Thank this.
