    Anyone on here from Louisiana? Particularly southeast La? I see hundreds of trucks pulling end dumps on a daily basis coming from a few pits around my house. I have always wanted to owner operate but have no idea where to gather information to get the contracts or prices to bid off. Anyone ever been stuck here? Any help?

    Don't haul dumps myself, but from what I've heard, to actually get in and make good money you need to know someone. That's at the pits around Amite

    Write down the names of the companies you see going in and out. Then call them. Go into the quarry itself and talk to them.

    Thanks y'all. We have several pits by my house in Franklinton. My uncle worked for a pit here for a little while. Maybe I can run down the guy that runs the show. The guy is from the Amite area. Some guys I've talked with today said there is a bid process.
