Head gasket. Of all things. These are the eventualities we are supposed to be prepared for. Alas, I am not. My bad for not keeping more set aside for repairs, especially after making so many over the last few weeks. I should have replenished my fund faster to cover this.
Older truck = pitfalls await.
I’ll work it out. I’m too stubborn to let this beat me, and the CO wants me to stick around.
I’ll keep this thread updated.

There are places out there that will finance a major repair.Wickedfire77 Thanks this. -
I am going in the morning to talk to a place. I think they will work with me

It pays to get a 2nd opinion. Looking like it’s not a head gasket

Applying for credit with this place to cover the repair cost

Now I get to explore my options . Repair cost is too high. As they explored there was more wrong. Stay tuned.

Long term major repair loan. Since it’s going to be cracked open, may as well do the whole thing. Going to get an inframe done, new clutch, tires, and throw in batteries.
Meanwhile I’ll rent a truck to make money while this one is being rebuilt.
It’s 300 a week to rent it, but it gets me moving tomorrowRidgeRunner731, 88 Alpha and popcorn169 Thank this. -
Now your mechanical side should be good later on you can add the purties to it and keep on trucking in a newly used truck.
88 Alpha, Wickedfire77 and RERM Thank this. -
